I have a passion for restoring health in the community. Hopefully, you have seen me around the Hoffman Estates area talking to people about healthier lifestyles and offering free office consultations. I believe it is incredibly important to get medical opinions from various practitioners before committing to care. This is why I have made it very easy to get in to receive chiropractic care and have a chance to talk to me about your health concerns and how to be healthy.

I am a proud graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, class of 2010. Palmer College is known throughout the world as the beacon for chiropractic care. In 2009, I was selected to work in the Palmer Outreach Clinic. This was a great honor and I was able to treat a wide variety of patients. This clinic provided many challenges and finely tuned my examination skills, as many of the patients had not seen a doctor in many years. I continued to work with extreme cases in 2010 as I helped to open an outreach clinic in India. While there I was able to treat conditions far worse than generally seen in the U.S.A.

After returning from India, I worked in Kansas City, MO. and specialized in treating sports injury and physical therapy rehabilitation. I was able to gain a better understanding of how each muscle can affect joints and tissues that are not even connected to it. I learned how to work and manage the kinetic chains in order to maximize the body’s ability to function. It was an amazing opportunity to learn and grow as a practitioner.

I next moved to Illinois and worked in a spinal rehab clinic. This is where I discovered the Pettibon system. This system is designed to correct postural muscle imbalances. It is amazing that how the head sits on top of the body can affect how the rest of the spine all the way down to the knees and ankles. My interest in working with the kinetic chain of the body made this my primary form of treatment.

Now that I have opened Higgins Physical Medicine, I am very excited to meet as many people as possible. Together, we can make this one the healthiest communities in the area. Please do not hesitate to call and schedule a consultation for physical medicine and chiropractic treatments with me or feel free to take advantage of our introductory massage therapy promotion listed on the top of the screen.

My passion for health therapies began in 2008 when I graduated from the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Chicago. Since then, I have put my knowledge and skills to use helping people reduce chronic pain, recover from and prevent injury, and take a much needed break from their busy, stressful schedules. I have seen, and personally experienced, the benefits of regular massage therapy and recommend it as part of most people’s health recovery and health maintenance plans.

In 2011, I expanded my knowledge by pursuing an education in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). After personally experiencing the effective, health-enhancing results of TCM, I developed a passion for learning and sharing this holistic approach to health. Since 2014, after graduating from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, I have been a Licensed Acupuncturist and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Once licensed, I continued to expand my knowledge of TCM by completing my Masters in Science of Oriental Medicine.

Throughout my TCM education, I learned to understand the body as a complex group of systems, with all the myriad parts designed to work together. When every system is in balance, we are healthy. Pain and disease occur when one or more of the systems are out of balance. During your intake process, I will listen to your main complaints and identify any underlying imbalance that is contributing to your complaints. This way, I will be able to address the symptoms as well as the underlying imbalance.

I am excited to share my passion for health therapies and I look forward to the opportunity to be part of your solution. I am happy to answer any questions you have. Please call today so you can feel better as soon as possible.
